Dear P.I.A.M. members,
It is my first time writing since elected President for the 2009-2010 term and I thank again all the members who voted for me. I am also delighted that William Leighton is our Vice-President and that we have a board of directors who are all experienced and dedicated Investigators. From my early days in business in New York and Maryland and then to my years as a Private Investigator many of which to this day with CCI Services, Inc., I have always believed in one thing: results is all that matters. Please know that I see the honor of being President more like a heavy responsibility as my duties can be summarized in one sentence: protect and advance the interests of Private Investigators and be accountable.
Our efforts focus on the Delmarva region with an obvious emphasis on Maryland, monitoring current or potential future regulations that would not be in our interests. Additionally, we want to be pro-active and when necessary look at ways to introduce bills that we see beneficial to our industry. We are still pursuing the imaging bill while consulting with NCISS regarding our inability to have direct access to credit reports from the credit bureaus.
The P.I.A.M. membership fee of $100.00, now includes a free yearly subscription to the well known PI Magazine. We encourage you to mail your membership renewal dues as soon as possible so that you can start receiving the magazine immediately. We also encourage you to check the website and verify that your company’s listing has all the current information. Please email Bill Leighton any changes needed. You will also soon receive an invitation to a seminar that will take place on June 27, 2009 in the Baltimore area. We strongly encourage you to attend.
Our monthly meetings are not a requirement but they offer an exceptional opportunity to participate in the on-going efforts of the organization, voice your ideas, share your vision and experience, mingle with fellow Investigators, and of course enjoy a delicious meal in a private room at Captain James Restaurant overlooking the Baltimore harbor. We are also looking at the idea of having some meetings in other parts of the State. We are currently working on two important issues and we need your financial support as well as your ideas, your voice and your occasional letters. Thank you for your continued support.
I look forward to meeting you in person and until then, I wish you much success for the rest of the year.
Sincerely,
Gilles Fourcault
President
